DEACONS

The Church that Jesus started during his personal ministry on earth has two officers. The officers of the Lord’s Church are Pastors and Deacons. The Bible makes reference to pastors as bishops or elders. This article deals with deacons. Deacons are to be servants of the Church and not rulers of the Church; however, Deacons are to be be leaders. How did Jesus Demonstrate Obedience?

  1. He obeyed God-He did the will of the Father. John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
